Abstract

The research presents the representations of sexuality in people with functional diversity, through some speeches about functional diversity in Chile. The documentary corpus consists in written and audiovisual material produced in Chile and Spain. It is analyzed from the perspective of Foucault’s speech analysis. The results show that representations about sexuality in people with functional diversity are multiple, related to discursive formats from wich they are spoken, and also geographic context of production. They also show that enunciation of this discurses is made from the pairs dependence - uncontrol and vulnerability – dangerousness. These aspects, added to the lack of information, the infantilization of non- normative bodies and the desexualization of desire, among others, are obstacles to achieve the human right for a free, pleasurable sexuality.
