Digital Platforms and Collective Participation: Decidim in the Quererla es Crearla Movement

In a context where educational innovation also demands institutional transformation, the use of collaborative technological tools becomes essential. This article presents the experience of implementing the Decidim platform within the Quererla es Crearla movement for Inclusive Education, focusing specifically on its use during the organization of the Cataliza 2024 Workshop. The methodology employed combined systematization of experiences with Participatory Action Research (PAR), carried out in collaboration with educational collectives from Spain and Latin America. The use of Decidim facilitated remote coordination, process documentation, and the expansion of the movement’s participatory base. Its modular design, differentiated levels of participation, and privacy settings contributed to establishing it as a shared digital space for collective decision-making within the movement. This experience highlights the potential of democratic digital infrastructures in inclusive educational processes. However, it also reveals ongoing challenges, such as the need for continuous participant training and the effective integration of physical and virtual spaces.
