This article focuses on the study of the information contained in the different institutional web pages referring to the recognition of the social name of trans students, an expression of the inclusion policies implemented since the enactment of Law 21.369/2021. From the methodological point of view, a qualitative-descriptive approach was chosen with a multiple case design, focused on the analysis of documents from the Internet. Among the main findings, it stands out that most of the selected universities recognize the change of corporate name, particularly since the enactment of the Law. However, this recognition in most cases lacks processing and implementation protocols, which allows classifying the universities into institutions with little, medium or advanced development in terms of inclusion of this student body. The intuitions that are in the advanced stage are, coincidentally, those that already had gender policies and directions prior to the entry into force of the Law. By way of conclusion, it can be stated that the inclusion of trans students in Chilean universities is limited almost exclusively to the recognition of their social name, and there is no evidence of affirmative policies towards this population.
