Abstract

The path to the actual implementation of inclusive education in the classroom has always been complex, dealing with different dilemmas whose resolution seems almost unattainable and repeatedly violating treaties and frameworks proposed by various organizations. To escape this apparent loop we need to direct our efforts towards the creation of an accessible curriculum in which all students have a place, not only thinking in what those with specific educational needs can achieve to reach a minimum, but what each student can develop to maximize their individual potential. This article thus offers some guidelines to keep in mind to reach that.

Alba García Barrera, Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR)

Profesora de la Facultad de Educación de la Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR) y doctoranda de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Es experta en atención temprana y especialista en TIC y en calidad y mejora de la educación, en el área de atención a la diversidad y de docencia universitaria. Es miembro activo del Grupo de Investigación sobre Cambio Educativo para la justicia social (GICE) y parte integrante del Consejo de Redacción de la Revista Internacional de Educación para la Justicia Social (RIEJS). Ha participado en diversos proyectos de investigación sobre el ámbito de la  iscapacidad, donde también cuenta con varias contribuciones a congresos y publicaciones científicas. Sus líneas de investigación se centran en el área de la atención a la diversidad, la inclusión educativa, la educación personalizada y la justicia social.
