Abstract

In the last decade, particularly from the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities , we have been arranging an international movement, although blurred and dissipated, but with the purpose of implementing the rights of people with disabilities to live independently and be included in the community , as it is reflected in Article 19 of CRPD (Cellular Digital Packet Data). This work includes an educational model which is developing an autonomous and independent life, that is anchored in the philosophy of Life School. The implementation of the Model that is launched for 14 years for people with intellectual disabilities, has proven to be very effective and has yielded good results, and this experience will be extended to other countries.

Nuria Illán Romeu, Universidad de Murcia

Dra. En Ciencias de la Educación por la Universidad de Murcia. Profesora Titular de la Facultad de Educación de la Universidad de Murcia desde 1987 hasta la fecha. Más de 150 publicaciones (libros, capítulos de libro, artículos, documentos, informes de investigación) todos ellos vinculados a colectivos de personas con discapacidad y relacionados con las temáticas de educación inclusiva, curriculum integrado, diseño universal de aprendizaje, autonomía personal y vida independiente. Dirección de tesis doctorales y proyectos de investigación, todos ellos relacionados con las temáticas antes mencionadas. Asesora Científica de DOWN ESPAÑA. Federación de ámbito nacional que aglutina a 84 entidades del territorio Español vinculadas a personas con discapacidad intelectual y con síndrome de Down. Directora del Centro de Estudios sobre Discapacidad y Promoción de la Autonomía Personal, dependiente de la Universidad de Murcia. España.

Jesús Molina, Universidad de Murcia

Formado en Pedagogía y Educación Física, es también Máster en síndrome de Down y discapacidad intelectual. Doctor Europeo en Pedagogía de la Universidade de Lisboa. Ejerce como profesor e investigador en el Departamento de Didáctica y Organización Escolar de la Facultad de Educación de la Universidad de Murcia y como Profesor en la Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED -Departamentos de Métodos de Investigación, Diagnóstico y Educación; Teoría e Historia; Didáctica y Organización Escolar). investigador del Grupo E073- 04 de Educación en la Diversidad desde una perspectiva transdisciplinar, y promotor de varios convenios con diferentes universidades de Brasil y Portugal.
