Abstract

Textbooks are involved in the transmission process of social behavior patterns, norms and values. The aim of the study is to analyze how is represented the body diversity on the images of Spanish textbooks for primary education at the light of the principles of inclusive education. The body children regardless of gender are represented on different levels of motor activity, while disabled bodies silenced. The results are discussed in terms of incorporating principles of inclusive school into the textbooks used in the school system.
