Intercultural bilingual education in Argentina: the Chaco’s case between 1987 and 2014

In this article are reviewed policies of Intercultural Bilingual Education in Argentina, considering as case of study Chaco Province. Chaco was chosen because this jurisdiction stands out for early visibility of indigenous people who live there (Tobas/Qom, Mocovíes/Moqoit and Wichí) and due for its great and innovator legislation about issues of the original people. Specifically, in this work are systematized the educational achievements and pending regarding Intercultural Educational Bilingual policies in the period between 1987 and 2014. With this objective, in this paper is presented the educational provincial policy more significative in the same way as the relevant bibliography and the own materials which have gathered during my ethnographic research with tobas/qom communities.
