Upcoming Challenges for Educational Inclusion in the Basque Country

After 25 years of the First Plan for Special Education of the Basque Country, there is much accomplished. It has ensured the presence in mainstream schools of almost all of the students with special educational needs. However, it is necessary to reflect on the moment and areas for improvement to enable the response to the student body is truly inclusive and effective. This is to bring to light what aspects have not yet been fully developed (including real inclusion, resource management, support,…), as well as those new that walking time has brought (new skills, new requirements, new professional profiles…).
