Discrimination and selection practices in schools
Abstract
One of the many paradoxes linked to inclusive education has to do with the practices of discrimination and selection for access to education that persist in many education systems. of discrimination and selection for access to education that persist in many education systems. Any education system that claims to be inclusive or aspires to be inclusive does not admit the existence of selective mechanisms for admitting students to schools on the basis of socio-economic, gender, ethnic, disability or academic performance. At In particular, public schools have an ethical duty to accept all, without distinction of any kind. Could we even imagine for a moment that public health facilities would place entry requirements on users in order to be seen?
