Presentation: Intercultural Education
Keywords:
Intercultural educationAbstract
This issue brings together articles that give an account of the theoretical and empirical complexity of intercultural education in Latin America. They are articles that respond to a call that defined intercultural education as education aimed at strengthening the cultural identity of the various groups that make up our societies - especially indigenous and Afro-descendant groups - and the relationship based on respect and equality between members of different cultures. This implies an education that promotes inclusion and combats discrimination and racism. Articles were requested that presented studies on public policies on intercultural education, on experiences in the field, on problems in the education of diverse cultural groups, and on the results of educational processes oriented towards interculturality, at any level or educational modality.
