Keywords:
Cooperative learning, Peer tutoring, Inclusive education, Special needsAbstract
This article presents the concept of peer tutoring, as a peer learning method that uses the differences between students as a pedagogical resource. After the conceptual review and the provision of evidence about its effectiveness, especially in vulnerable students, this article describes an experience of peer tutoring, in this case for the development of reading, and emphasis is placed on the possibility of adjustment as a methodology for inclusion. If we promote learning through differences, as peer tutoring does, the presence and participation in regular classrooms of students with special needs will be welcome, because thanks to them we all have opportunities to learn.
